If There Is A God Print
When Shawn was invited to be a part of his first ever two-man art show in Chicago at the Ars Memoria, he was asked to create 14 different pieces that focused on and drew inspiration from the show’s title, The Exiled. As he was researching and sketching out various ideas, he saw this quote in passing in a book on the Holocaust.
The quote had been found clawed into the wall of a one of the gas chambers the Nazis used to murder so many Jewish people. The Jewish people have always been considered God’s children, and when Shawn saw that quote, it hit hard in his soul. It was pure defiance, that went beyond our physical world all the way to the heavens.
