Battling Mental Days

It took years to diagnose my borderline personality disorder. Today I’m doing much better. I had, what I call, mental days, I self isolated and had depression and anxiety along with being ADD. Mourning the loss of my husband really sent me in a tailspin, I love the art in this book. I look at the art first and think about the picture and what I’m seeing. Read about the illness and revisit the art. It’s beautiful! I’m reading about illness’ that I didn’t know the name for it and have so much empathy for people that have mental illness. I find a lot of people do not. Including my family. It makes me sad. Everyone needs to read this book! You or someone in your family has mental illness. There’s compassion for a lot of illness’ but not for mental illness. Thank you for this book!!

AWESOME!!

I'm completely blown away by the entire book!! From how the art work relatively depicts different aspects of each mental health illness mentioned while still being informative about each illness as well. The relatable approach to the mental health illnesses topic and the detectable authenticity of understanding the subject matter makes it all the more wonderful!

I originally bought it just for myself but both my grandparents and my mom love it. I will say though that with the seven sins in the back, the pride one is backwards. That’s not bad at all and honestly I find it funny

Book on mental health

This is an amazing book on images of art that represent mental health status, like depression, mania, and the like. Imagine being able to draw how you feel and this is the book. Sometimes disturbing but always fascinating.
